As I pondered an expanse of landscape in paint, I watched the approach of the "American Renaissance".
Let me explain.
The near ground was dark, the approaching green, was stretched the width of the canvas, it was as if there was a renewal in progress. The misty greens pushed bold into the light greens as both carved into the sky's blue across the canvas face.
Than a thought came to mind ..."It's the Renaissance..the American Renasisance...it's there on the horizon"! the thought pointed out.
With that, I smeared some olive down the canvas on top of a dark blue/brown foreground like a path for change, a way for renewal's approach.
Olive danced across the under painting in the most unexpected ways as the "American Renaissance" continued it's echo.
"You're close" I heard as the next rising thought expressed.
"Prepare to greet it....Prepare the way" came to me as I took a smaller stiff bristled brush loaded with a pale yellow and struck it's handle against the handle of the green brush spraying sun light randomly into the foreground .
"That's good" my mind said. "You're done"!
At last free of my focus, I began to relax, when a final thought materialized as if wrapped in a chuckle...." You may be done, but the American Renaissance is still coming".
I thought I'd blog this particular interaction to point out the workings of the intuitive mind in the midst of creating. Not only do I have another painting, I have another reason to look toward time's horizon.
